5 BAD HABITS THAT AFFECT YOUR WELLBEING AS A NEW MOM

It is important to know that as a new mom, your wellbeing is non-negotiable and unhealthy habits can impede your wellbeing as a person. You have to consider yourself and your baby.
As a breastfeeding mother, whatever affects you may sometimes have effect on your newborn.
And so, what are those unhealthy habits that need to be curbed as a new mom and how can you achieve that?
Here are some of them:

1. Body shaming: At all costs avoid body shaming yourself. If your body changed a bit due to giving birth, appreciate the changes, work with it, and try to get it back to shape through exercise and workouts. In addition, for changes such as stretch marks, you can make use of some natural products such as Aloe vera, Cocoa butter, Almond oil and Coconut oil to help you reduce the effect of the stretch marks.

2. Comparing your motherhood journey to other new moms: Excessive comparison and competition steals one’s joy; there is simply no gain in it. Each mother is on her own journey which shouldn’t be compared to others. Love your journey and enjoy motherhood the best way you can, your way!

3. Unhealthy eating habits: Please for you and your baby’s wellbeing, avoid eating junks or meals that can have a negative impact on your health. Remember, you are what you eat.

4. Living in constant fear of judgment: If you constantly live in fear of judgment of what other people think about your parenting style or skills, then you may never really enjoy that phase of your life.

5. Not getting enough sleep: Please do not deprive yourself of quality sleep. You need to always set out time for adequate rest, this is for you and your baby. How many hours do you get to sleep daily? Are you resting enough and not overwhelming yourself?
